Edmonds-Woodway beats Mariner | Girls prep swimming

The Edmonds-Woodway girls swimming team beat Mariner on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The final score was 126-40 for the Warriors.

The Edmonds-Woodway 200 medley relay team of Tang, Williams, Josie McClaughan and Kambiranand in 2:14.32, while Juliana Epoch won the 200 freestyle title in 2:22.95. McClaughlan won the 200 individual medley race in 2:32.93 and Djenne Dickens won the 50 freestyle race in 25.45. Dickens also won the 100 butterfly in 1:02.12, while Rachel Williams won the 100 freestyle event in 1:08.47.

Tang won the 500 freestyle race in 6:39.80, while the Warriors 200 freestyle relay team of Campbell, Hood, Dickens and Epoch won in 2:04.28.

Epoch won the 100 back stroke race in 1:10.25, and the Warriors 400 freestyle relay team of Erickson, Kyan, Lewis and Tang won in 4:57.87.

Mariner’s Brianna Lucien won the 100 breast stroke event with a time of 1:10.41.

Edmonds-Woodway will compete against Lynnwood on Tuesday, Oct. 1 in a 2:45 p.m. meet at Lynnwood Pool. Mariner will compete against Jackson at the West Coast Pool on Thursday, Sept. 26 in a 2:30 p.m. meet.
