Edmonds-Woodway beats Cascade in regular season finale | Boys prep basketball
The Edmonds-Woodway boys basketball team finished the regular season on Thursday, Feb. 6 with a 68-54 win over Cascade.
The Warriors trailed 21-17 after one quarter, but added 21 points in the second to earn a halftime lead of 38-35.
The Warriors outscored the Bruins in the second half, with a 15-12 third quarter and 15-7 fourth quarter to finish the game with a win.
Jason Smarr scored 19 points during the game, while Travis Bakken added 14 and Brady Edwards scored 12. Trey Holland had eight points, Theo Lebesis scored seven, with Tate Budnick scoring six and Antonio Sherrill posting two.
The Warriors finished the regular season with an 11-4 league and 12-8 overall record. The team will begin the post season in the district tournament by hosting Mount Vernon on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.
The winner will move on to the district semifinals against the winner of the Arlington vs. Kamiak game on Feb. 15 at Mountlake Terrace High School.
