Edmonds-Woodway beats Cascade in close 4-3 match | Boys prep tennis

The Edmonds-Woodway boys tennis team earned a league win over Cascade on Monday, Oct. 14, beating Cascade 4-3 in a close match.

In singles matches, Cascade’s Patrick Chung beat Max Teer 6-1, 6-0, while Brandon Chen beat Joe Hall 6-1, 5-7, 6-1. Grayson Turley beat Simon Josephson 6-1, 7-5 and Arun Kalohke beat Intae Oh 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles matches, Cascade’s Nick Torrence and Adam McArthur beat Chase Holmes and Evan Lester 6-2, 6-4, but Warriors Conner Santel and Kit Teer beat Blake Hilde and Chris Kapetanov 6-3, 6-4. Cameron Cook and Alex Tran lost 6-4, 6-4 to Brian Song and Adam Gill.

The Warriors are now 8-5 in league and 8-6 overall this season. The team will play it’s final regular season matches this week, including hosting Mariner on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 3:30 p.m., followed by Lynnwood on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The post season will begin next week with the 4A south division tournament at Jackson on Oct. 22.
