Edmonds-Woodway beats Bothell in four | Prep volleyball

The Edmonds-Woodway volleyball team notched it's first win of the season, beating Bothell in four games on Thursday, Sept. 12. The final scores were 25-20, 28-26, 19-25 and 25-23 for the Warriors.

Edmonds-Woodway controlled the first game, earned a big lead early in the game before Bothell attempted to rally. Bothell kept the score close in the second game, after the Warriors started off with an early lead. Bothell took the lead late in the game, but Edmonds-Woodway held on to force extra points and earn the win.

Bothell found it's rhythm in the third game, taking control early and despite attempts by the Warriors to retake the lead, the Cougars held on for their first win of the night.

The fourth game remained close throughout, but Edmonds-Woodway kept control late in the match to earn the final win of the night.

Sidney Eck had 10 kills in the match, with three blocks and four aces, while teammate Kym Lundt added seven kilss and 15 digs. Julia Hutchison had 29 digs during the game.

The Warriors will travel to the Adidas Invite at Auburn-Mountainview before hosting Inglemoor at home on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.
