Edmonds-Woodway beats Arlington 6-1 | Boys prep tennis

The Edmonds-Woodway boys tennis team beat Arlington 6-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

In singles matches, Max Teer lost to Trent Sarver 6-3, 6-0, while Brandon Chen beat Connor Ghirardo 6-4, 6-3. Grayson Turley beat Coleman Davis 6-1, 6-2 and Arun Kalokhe beat Jessie Vaughn 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles, Riley O’Brien and Chase Holmes beat Luca Bynum and Rawley Davis 6-3, 6-1, while Connor Santel and Kit Teer beat Nicholas Mendro and Jakob Bierer 6-0, 6-3. Evan Lester and Quinn Walker beat Isaiah Mitzelfeldt and Cameron Reece 6-0, 6-0.

The Warriors are 5-3 in league games and 5-4 overall this season. The team will host Monroe on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 3:30 p.m. and will travel to play at Mount Vernon on Monday, Oct. 7.
