Coach: Dan Somoza

Number of athletes: 16 on varsity

Last season: The Warriors finished the season 17-6, advancing to the district tournament.

Strengths: “I think we have a lot of great attitudes on this team,” said returning head coach Dan Somoza. “The guys have given great effort and have strong senior leadership. That makes my job easier.”

Focus: “We're just focusing on how we want to play up-tempo,” said the coach. “We want to be aggressive, so that's mainly what we're focusing on. Pitching, hitting and defensively we're trying to attack instead of reacting. Aggressive has been our key word.”

Matches to watch: “We get excited about every game to be perfectly honest,” said the coach. “We always like playing the local teams like Terrace and Meadowdale, it's been Jackson, has been tough for us every year and Cascade is the team to beat this year.”

The Warriors start the season on Saturday, March 15 against non-league Tahoma, before taking on Meadowdale on March 21.
