Edmonds woman helps local tennis team to national title | Sports brief

An Emdonds woman is a member of a local team that won a national title at the United States Tennis Association League National Championships in California.

Jill Olkoski, a member of the Robinswood T.C. tennis team, lives in Edmonds, and plays with the team which is based out of Bellevue.

Olkoski and the team won the national title at the USTA League Adult 18 and over 2.5 National Championships held in Indian Wells, Calif. in early October.

The Robinswood TC team beat a team from Charleston, W. Va. 3-0 in the championship match t win the title. They also beat a team out of Warrenton, Va. 2-1 in the semifinals.

In order to advance to the national competition, the team won in the sectionals competition held in Portland.

Olkoski is the only member of the team from Edmonds, driving to practice in Bellevue regularly. She owns Aldebaran Web Design, based in Edmonds.
