Edmonds teens collect products for shelterOver 30 students helped collect items for the YWCA shelter over the 12 hours period
The United Way of Snohomish County Teen Council recently held a hygiene drive at the QFC in Edmonds, for the YWCA Pathways for Women shelter in Lynnwood.
The drive was coordinated by Lauren Nguyen a senior at Edmonds-Woodway High School and Cristal Rangel-Pena a senior at Mariner High School.
The Teen Council consists of seven area high schools with over 30 members involving teens in the Snohomish County area, who gather together once a month and go out in the community to make a difference.
Under the direction of Amy Franklin, Youth Engagement Manager for the group, they managed to collect 1189 products.
Over 30 students helped collect items for the YWCA shelter over the 12 hours period.
