Edmonds Public Schools Foundation receives $8,400 grant
The Edmonds Public Schools Foundation (EPSF) received $8400 in grant funding from the Greater Everett Community Foundation on May 30 to support College in the High School Tuition.
College Access for All is a new program the EPSF and Edmonds School District are partnering together to help students in financial need pay tuition for college in the high school courses. Approximately 30 percent of students cannot afford course fees and the benefit of taking college level coursework is missed by a significant portion of Edmonds School District learners.
Having funds to support students with financial need bridges the opportunity gap, and ensures that all students have access to college level coursework.
Providing scholarships for College In The High School gives students a glimmer of hope to achieve their dreams and those in greatest need the opportunity to be as successful as their peers. It sets the stage for all students to become successful life-long learners and responsible world citizens.
For over 25 years, the Edmonds Public Schools Foundation has supported students, teachers and schools by putting money we raise where it enhances student learning the most — directly into our schools and classrooms. With an all-volunteer board and active community participants, the Foundation has successfully provided Edmonds School District with a dynamic partnership in educating our children.
Edmonds Public Schools Foundation is co-located in the Edmonds School District offices at 20420 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. Call 425-431-7260 for more information.
