Edmonds Discovery Program for non-school days
Edmonds Parks and Recreation is offering two mini-camps during fall 2016. These one-day camps, held on non-school days, offer hands-on learning through interactive games, crafts and outdoor exploration.
Edmonds Discovery Programs staff will teach the programs.

Discovery Non-School Day Camp: Fish and Friends
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21
For ages 6-12. Discover how exciting and important salmon are as well as the other animals that depend on them! Examine the different life stages of salmon through games, activities and real specimens.
We’ll take a walk to a local park to observe natural creek habitats where salmon may return and the dynamic food web they create. Course #5002 $35/$40.
Discovery Non-School Day Camp: Have an Owl of a Time
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23
For ages 6-12. Who lives in Yost Park? Owls. Get to know owls by learning about their unique adaptations such as binocular vision, silent flight, and asymmetrical ears. Dissect an owl pellet and discover what they’ve been eating.
Take a walk to Yost Park to explore ourz own local owl habitat with the possibility to see a barred owl. Course #5001 $35/$40.
