The Seattle Shakespeare Company in “The Tempest”

Join the Edmonds Arts Commission in City Park for Seattle Shakespeare Co/Wooden O’s, "The Tempest" City Park on Sunday, July 21, from 3-4:30 p.m.

Seattle Shakespeare Company presents free, outdoor productions of classical plays performed in parks throughout the Puget Sound region.

Directed by Kelly Kitchens, enjoy Shakespeare’s magical tale of “The Tempest,” where revenge yields to forgiveness. Exiled by his younger brother and marooned on an enchanted island with his daughter, the aging sorcerer Prospero discovers the human heart wields a greater power than all the spells at his command.

The show begins at 3 p.m. in Edmonds City Park, located at 3rd and Pine in downtown Edmonds. Bring the family, lawn chairs or blanket for a production.

In the event of rain, the concert will be cancelled at 2:30 p.m. The Concerts in City Park are sponsored by Acura of Lynnwood and Lynnwood Honda.

Concerts are presented by the Edmonds Arts Commission on behalf of the Edmonds City Council and are accessible to persons with disabilities.
