EdCC baseball beats Pierce College 7-4, ranked No. 1 in coaches poll

The Edmonds Community College baseball team earned a non-league 7-4 win over Pierce College on Wednesday, March 26.

The Tritons, now 12-2 this season, finished non-league play ranked the No. 1 NWAACC team in the most recent coaches poll.

Against Pierce, center fielder TC Florentine hit a triple and scored off a Raider error in the first inning, earning the Tritons a 1-0 lead.

Pierce tied the game in the second, but Edmonds responded with a run in the third inning by Keanu Puha hit by Ryan Budnick.

The game was tied again by Pierce in the fourth, with both teams holding at 2-2 until the sixth inning. After Ryan Archibald was hit by a pitch and Ben Roquet hit a double, Puha stepped to the plate and hit a home run against the wall.

The Tritons will play Shoreline on Saturday, March 29 in a double header at Triton Field. The first game begins at 1 p.m.
