E-W junior wins Schack photo contest
An Edmonds-Woodway High School student won the grand prize in Schack Art Center’s 2017 Black & White Photography Contest.
Junior Peter Tsanev’s winning entry is titled "If You Didn’t Get Dirty, You Didn’t Play."
Schack received more than 175 entries in the contest, was open to all Snohomish County high school students. Photographs were judged in two categories: Grades 9-10 and grades 11-12. Three local, well-known photographers served as judges: Berette Macaulay, Barbara Reed and Lloyd Weller.

Award winners will be honored at the Schack's spring Teen Night 6 p.m. Thursday, April 13.
An exhibit of all the entries is currently on display in the Emerging Young Artists' Gallery at the Schack Art Center from March 25 - April 30, 2017. Gallery hours will be as follows: Monday-Friday, 10-6pm; Saturday, 10-5pm; and Sunday, 12-5pm (closed Easter Sunday, April 16).
