Join the Edmonds Arts Commission for the first of the 2012 Summer Concerts in the Park series, for a FREE performance by “Duwamish Dixieland Jazz Band,” performing toe-tappin’ tunes on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 3p.m.
All concerts are held in Edmonds City Park located at 3rd and Pine in downtown Edmonds.
Bring the family, lawn chairs or blanket and join us for some great music and family entertainment.
The Duwamish Dixieland Jazz Band delivers the classic Dixieland sound heard on the streets and in the entertainment halls of New Orleans.
The group excites audiences with the sounds of hot jazz, blues, and traditional gospel.
You will want to tap your toes and dance. The group performs songs from the early 20th Century, from hot Dixieland and traditional New Orleans jazz to blues and swing.
The Duwamish Dixieland Jazz Band has a reputation for playing for danceable jazz, so bring the whole family out for a toe-tapping good time at the first concert of the 2012 Summer Concerts in the Park Series.
This year’s Summer Concerts in the Park series is generously sponsored by Acura of Lynnwood and Lynnwood Honda. Concerts are presented by the Edmonds Arts Commission on behalf of the Edmonds City Council and are accessible to persons with disabilities.
