Driftwood Players nab 3 awards for excellence

The Driftwood Players came home with three awards after performing at Kaleidoscope 2013 in Bremerton last weekend.

Outstanding Costume Design: Sarah M. Walsh for The Long Christmas Dinner from The Edmonds Driftwood Players.

Outstanding Female Performance: Dawn Cornell in The Long Christmas Dinner from The Edmonds Driftwood Players.

The Spirit Award to the Edmonds Driftwood Players, awarded by the hosting company to the theatre group that showed the best example of community and theatre.

  • The Betty Wills Washington Treasure Award: The Thread Men from Bremerton Community Theatre
  • Outstanding Male Performance: Jon Douglas Rake in The Drowsy Chaperone from Tacoma Musical Playhouse
  • Outstanding Lighting Design: Peter Hardie for The Turn of the Screw from Spokane Civic Theatre
  • Outstanding Set Design: The Drowsy Chaperone from Tacoma Musical Playhouse
  • Outstanding Director: Susan Hardie for The Turn of the Screw from Spokane Civic Theatre
  • The Alternate Production for State Advancement: Didn’t See That Coming from The Changing Scene Theatre Northwest
  • The Advancing Productions for State Advancement: The Turn of the Screw from Spokane Civic Theatre and The Thread Men from Bremerton Community Theatre
