Do I get compensated?

Editor:

Real estate taxes are determined by the value of the real estate.  May we therefore expect a reduction in taxes because of recent developments in and around Edmonds:

  • Approval of Alaska Airlines flights from Paine Field.  Low-flying jets will drown out outdoor conversation.
  • Coal trains: I live above the tracks on Olympic View.  The frequent grind of passing trains will make the lawn on the west side of the house seem like living in a low-rent apartment with a window on the tracks.
  • Loss of Petosa's.
  • High-rise building...
  • Increasing difficulty getting through traffic to Seattle (attention commuter trains... !)

Clearly, my house has lost desirability and value.  Perhaps it's time to move, though I hate to.

Will someone make sure that my property value taxes are lowered, and that I am compensated for a lower sales value by all these things?
