Disagree with restaurant review
Concerning Rick Steves article in the October 25 issue of the Edmonds Beacon.
I found interesting his method of restaurant "reviews" in Edmonds, but take issue with his staffer's opinion (which was way, way off) concerning Cafe de Paris--this fine little French restaurant in downtown Edmonds.
My wife and I have been and are presently frequent patrons, for both lunch and dinner. for over 20 years. We have NEVER encountered a musty or unpleasant smell--and, I've never known anyone else that has!
Cafe de Paris excels in creating a pleasant, cozy, and friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy your gourmet meal. We're always pleased to "show off" Edmonds to out-of-town family and friends and usually end up with a lunch or dinner at Cafe de Paris, and are never disappointed.
The service is top notch; with well informed staff who are both helpful and friendly.
Yes, we plan on spending an hour for lunch, perhaps two for dinner. We really want to take time to savor the meal, knowing it will be prepared "just for us" (wife needs gluten-free) by the chef, which is also owner of this little jewel of a restaurant by the ferry in Edmonds.
So, a note to Mr. Steves: CAFE DE PARIS IS A 5-STAR RESTAURANT.
