Chamber to fete arts patrons
The second annual Edmonds Chamber of Commerce Arts Awards will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at the Edmonds Conference Center, 4th and Bell. The event is free and open to the public.
A reception with music by Jazz Pearls and refreshments will be followed by a welcome from chamber president and CEO Kyle Vixie.
Jack Loos, chair of the chamber board and arts & culture committee chair, will present the 2014 awards to the following for their contributions in specific categories:
• Individual Volunteer: Darlene McLellan, president of Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation;
• Business Leadership: Arts – Cole Gallery, owner Denise Cole General – Comprehensive Wealth Management, owners Gary and Cheryl Arford;
• Individual Leadership: Joe McIalwain, executive director, Edmonds Center for the Arts;
• Creative Collaboration: Jazz Connection, Ron Keimer and Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers, and Edmonds School District.
