“Catch Me If You Can” rapper caught
The Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force (SCVOTF) has confirmed that 28 year-old Wayne Frisby was arrested Thursday, April 4, in California, along with a 23 year-old female.
Frisby, the self-proclaimed “blind rapper” from Everett who goes by the name “Mac Wayne,” was arrested on an outstanding bail warrant for 1st degree robbery.
The female was arrested for a 2nd degree ID theft felony warrant. Both will be booked into jail in California and extradited to Snohomish County.
The SCVOTF developed information from leads that Frisby was in Oakland, Calif. and contacted the fugitive task force in California. Around noon Thursday, Frisby and the female were located at the Budget Motel in San Leandro, Calif. and arrested.
The SCVOTF was launched in January as a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies in Snohomish County to track down the county’s most violent offenders.
Recently, the Snohomish County Council awarded the task force $20,000 to help cover the cost of extradition back to the county.
So far the task force, which includes representatives from the US Marshal’s Western Washington field office, Washington State Department of Corrections, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol and police departments from Marysville, Arlington, Tulalip and Everett, has served more than 50 arrest warrants.
