Book donations to benefit children's literacy program

Nov 21, 2013

Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After will be sponsoring a “Books Rock” event by partnering with Imagine Children’s Museum to collect new books to benefit Page Ahead, the leading provider of children's literacy services in Washington State serving more than 30,000 at-risk children in need every year with new books, literacy support for families and reading resources for local communities.

Recently, the Page Ahead offices experienced a flood which destroyed many of their books – so Disney On Ice and Imagine Children’s Museum will lend a helping hand to collect more books for a wonderful organization that has given so much in communities across Washington State.

Imagine Children’s Museum is contributing 50 one-time free admissions to help the cause. The first 50 children to arrive at the Museum today with a new children’s book to donate (and one accompanying adult per family) will receive free admission for the day.

At 11 a.m. these same 50 children only (and one accompanying adult per family) will be able to participate in a private, fun reading event and an exclusive meet and greet/photo opportunity with a special Disney guest!

All Museum guests are encouraged to bring a new children’s book any time between today and Sunday, Nov. 24, to donate to Page Ahead. Regular Museum hours and admission fees apply.

Any member of the general community may drop new children’s books inside the Museum entrance without paying admission.
