Billionaire leans toward radical left | Letter

Aug 07, 2014

Editor, The Beacon:

"Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky is an interesting read. It is discussed in the new movie "America."

After reading the book I feel I understand better one particular billionaire–– George Soros.

Here's the reason: Alinsky divides people into haves and have-nots.

The haves are automatically bad. Which by logic means the superrich would maybe feel a pull towards atonement if they embrace that guilt.

Soros could fit the mold. Long ago he emigrated from benevolent socialist Europe, and now is an "evil" capitalist USA billionaire! Embarrassing!

Hurting from barrages of condemnation, Soros capitulated and joined the radical left as seen by his donations. My theory, anyway.

Search for "Discover The Networks" and "Soros" online.

Don't be surprised if self-flagellation persuades him to travel third class and eat plain oatmeal for breakfast.

Monks may end up having more fun than poor confused multibillionaire George –– the former "tired and huddled" immigrant out of Hungary.
