Edmonds residents and businesses are reminded to vote in the first-ever Edmonds Scarecrow Festival, sponsored by the Edmonds Historical Museum.
Online voting for the best scarecrows is taking place until Oct. 31, with the winner announced at the museum’s fundraising banquet Friday, Nov. 8. To vote, go to the museum’s website at www.historicedmonds.org/Scarecrow/Vote.html.
The contest is part of the celebration of the museum’s 40th anniversary.
In addition, it will provide visual interest for the Hekinan Sister City delegation visiting from Japan in October, and will also help foster ties between businesses, residents, art organizations and student groups in Edmonds.
Handmade scarecrows are on display at businesses and residences throughout Edmonds.
