Arlington beats Edmonds-Woodway | Boys prep basketball
The Edmonds-Woodway boys basketball team lost a non-league game to Arlington on Thursday, Jan. 9. The final score was 63-53 for the Eagles.
Arlington led the Warriors 19-12 after the first quarter, and had earned a 33-25 lead at halftime.
The Eagles outscored Edmonds-Woodway 19-11 in the third, but the Warriors pitched a late stage comeback, hitting 17 points while holding Arlington to 11 in the final minutes.
Jason Smarr scored a team high of 19 points during the win, Travis Bakken added 15, Theo Lebesis added six, Tate Budnick posted five points and Brady Edwards scored four points. Kelvin Dankwa and Antionio Sherrill both scored two points.
Arlington remained perfect in league play and is 10-1 this season. The Warriors are now 3-2 in league and 4-6 overall. Edmonds-Woodway will play at Mariner on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 7:15 p.m.
