Arbor Day planting Saturday near Shell Park II access road
The city of Edmonds’ Tree Board is having an Arbor Day tree planting 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.
Volunteers will plant native trees and native shrubs on both sides of the access road on Main Street that provides entry into the Shell Creek neighborhood. It’s on the south side of Main, near 86th Place West, before the Five Corners roundabout.
The access road is opened for emergency personnel or for when snow prohibits entry to Shell Park II from a steep hill off Bowdoin Way.
Volunteers in work clothes wearing work gloves are welcome; tools will be provided.
Refreshments will be available.
Music will be provided by Christie Taylor and her students.
