"Old boat in Burano" by Eve Ingraham

Gallery North takes on a continental flair in May when Eve Ingraham shares her travel adventures from a recent trip to Europe. Ingraham, an accomplished and diverse artist, has created a wonderful collection of paintings and jewelry that reflect the colorful landscapes she encountered in her travels to Venice and beyond.

The paintings will include works in watercolor, encaustic, and pastel. Her jewelry incorporates a variety of metal smith skills with Murano glass, semi-precious stones, and other interesting components.

“I am fascinated with the world of design,” Ingraham said. “There is always something new to learn, and inspiration can come from anywhere.

“The constant search for new and innovative materials, combined with the challenge of learning new skills to create the work that my mind envisions, makes each day in my studio fresh and fulfilling.”

The public is invited to meet Ingraham at her artist’s reception on Sunday, May 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Another opportunity to meet the artist will be at the Edmonds Third Thursday Art Walk on May 16, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Gallery North is a non-profit artist cooperative established in 1961 and has been serving local artists and our community for more than 50 years.
