9th Annual Halloween Howl promises some doggone fun

Oct 17, 2013

Dog lovers are invited to the Off-Leash Area Edmonds (O.L.A.E.) 9th Annual Halloween Howl to be held from 11-2 Saturday, Oct. 19.  The event will be at the “Doggie Beach,” 498 Admiral Way, Edmonds.

There will be pet-friendly vendor booths, a silent auction and raffle, and the always-popular doggie costume contest.

Judging for the costume contest will be at 1 p.m.  There will be prizes for “Most Original,” “Funniest,” “Best Sports Team Dog,” and “Best Owner and Dog Combination.”

All entrants will take home a goody-bag of doggie treats.

Hot dogs and sodas for the humans will be for sale outside the off-leash area.

Smoked dog bones provided by Celtic Cowboy BBQ will be for sale inside the park with proceeds going to O.L.A.E.

Edmonds Animal Control will be in attendance to answer questions, and let citizens tour the Animal Control vehicle.  As a community service, O.L.A.E. will pay for new City of Edmonds dog licenses.

O.L.A.E. is a non-profit organization that provides the continued support and stewardship to the only designated off-leash dog beach in Edmonds.
