6 escape injury in Edmonds drive-by shooting
At least three bullets struck an occupied house on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in what Edmonds police are calling a drive-by shooting.
The shooting happened in the 6600 block of 172nd Street SW, just off Olympic View Drive, at about 9:15 p.m., police said. Officers found bullet holes in a large downstairs window.
The occupants of the home, four adults, one teenager and an infant, were all in a room when the bullets came through the window. No one was injured.
Police said a neighbor has video of the event from a home security camera. It shows a red SUV drive pass the home, turn around and drive by again. On the second pass by, six shots can be heard coming from the SUV.
The vehicle then left the area. Detectives are following up on leads in this case. Anyone with information can send anonymous tips to EPDtips@edmondswa.gov.
