2 Edmonds business owners, author team up at Art Walk
Two long-time Edmonds business owners have teamed up to continue to provide quality service to the Edmonds community.
For 32 years, Joan Longstaff operated her real estate brokerage in a historic house at 524 Main St. She will now share a space across the street at 525 Main with Jacqueline Bristol, Farmer’s Insurance agency. Bristol has been at 525 Main for 43 years.
Longstaff is happy with this new location, noting it will be more accessible for her real estate business.
The community is invited to join Bristol and Longstaff for their "Big Celebration Business Kick Off” at the Art Walk between 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. Refreshments will be provided.
They are also hosting Dr. Rita Bennett who is autographing her new book “A New Look at the News.”
Mentored by former Beacon editor Al Hooper, she was a columnist for the Edmonds Beacon for more than six years.
Through writing for the Beacon, interviewing guests 11 years for TBN TV Federal Way, and authoring 11 (now 12 books), she received an honorary Doctor of Letters Degree from ORU University, Tulsa, Oklahoma in May 2012.
There will be a drawing for Dr. Bennett’s book.
